Date of Birth: 15th January 1970 (twins) Jonas and Josh Pate were born on the 15th of January 1970 in Raeford, North Carolina. They began collaborating on film projects after college. Jonas studied philosophy at Princeton and Josh received a B.A. in English from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Josh formerly dated Renée Zellweger, who participated in a promotional video shot by Josh for the Carolina Film Alliance's launch. The Pates co-wrote the independent film The Grave, which Jonas also directed. The film was well received at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival. They then co-wrote and co-directed The Deceiver, starring Tim Roth and Renée Zellweger. They were the creative force behind the USA Network's cult favourite G vs E and co-executive producers on ABC's update of Dragnet. They have also co-directed an episode of NBC's Friday Night Lights.
